Weightbearing exercise, flexibility, maintaining mobility - all are associated with longer life and shorter morbidity periods. Being strong and mobile also means continuing to do the things you love. Prevent falls, a leading cause of disability or worse as we age. Manage stress, get your nutrition right, and sleep well to promote wellbeing. We can help you do it.
We come to you, and many services are covered by Medicare.
Something as simple as a bedside commode can reduce your fall risk by eliminating the need to walk down a dark hallway when you are sleepy. Stair glides, wheelchair ramps, railings - we evaluate your specific needs, facilitate installation through an affiliate vendor, and provide follow-up training in safe use. The right equipment can keep you doing what you need to without having to leave home.
The purpose of aging-in-place home modification is to create beautiful spaces enabling optimal function now and at every life stage. If done right the first time, you will not have to tackle a second project 10 or 20 years from now. We evaluate your needs and then consult with architects, builders and remodelers to eliminate barriers and maximize supports to your function and happiness.
Our most comprehensive package, the AgeWell Plan addresses the big questions that come with aging and future planning. "Do I need a home health aide?" "Does it make sense to move my bedroom to the ground floor?" "Would a stair glide or walk-in shower make life easier and safer?" "Is it time to transition to a wheelchair?" "Would working with a therapist help me feel stronger and keep me from falling?" We help you understand life's challenges in the context of your abilities, and the supports and barriers in your home environment, to find the answers.
Individual Package: $1,200 (*premium applies for spaces with high square footage)
Pair Package: $1,800 (*premium applies for spaces with high square footage)
Our HomeWell Plan is designed for individuals or pairs seeking expertise when planning home modifications aimed at aging in place, without the need of an evaluation of health and function. This package is suited to those who do not have any functional challenges presently, are not managing chronic conditions, and require consultation with an Aging In Place Advisor prior to starting a remodeling project.
Standard Package: $900 (*premium applies for spaces with high square footage)
Changes in the environment can yield big gains in how you function. Performing the same task with less pain, more safely, and more independently can translate to a major improvement in quality of life. What if taking a shower were a pleasure rather than a fall risk? What if you could do the hosting in the kitchen without having to bend over and causing back pain? What if the stairs were no longer a barrier to getting to your bedroom safely? We conduct a thorough environmental evaluation, starting with the AgeWell or HomeWell Plan, and provide detailed recommendations for home modifications. Integrative Aging In Place works closely with our preferred affiliates in the fields of design and build and architecture. We can also consult with the builder of your choice. Integrative Aging In Place also facilitates smaller home repair projects to help you stay safe and love where you live.

Health is defined as complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Integrative Aging In Place helps you achieve wellbeing holistically, in the convenience of your home. We provide the following interventions:
